

Meet Tracey
Mental Health & Wellbeing Consultant
Tracey Gunning is the Founder and Director of Restore Australia and a passionate advocate for mental health, wellbeing, and community care. Originally from New Zealand, Tracey moved to Australia with her husband in 1988 and has since built a rich career spanning the church, not-for-profit, education, and corporate sectors.
She spent 12 years on staff at a large multicultural church in Melbourne, where she also gained her Ordained Minister’s Credential (OMC), before transitioning into community-based work. Tracey holds a Master’s in Health and Human Services and a Postgraduate Diploma in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing from The University of Melbourne.
With over three decades of leadership experience, Tracey specialises in equipping church leaders, youth teams, and volunteers through interactive workshops covering mental health awareness, suicide prevention, de-escalation, burnout, compassion fatigue, and self-care. She also offers tailored wellbeing coaching, supervision and debriefing following critical incidents.
Tracey is highly experienced in complex case management and crisis intervention, particularly in supporting traumatised young people and families affected by domestic violence, mental health challenges, sexual assault, and substance abuse.
Known for her warmth, insight, and practical wisdom, Tracey brings a grounded and compassionate voice to every conversation she leads.
